At ArchiFab USA we design our residential shade sails and structures to be installed with the same durability and meticulous attention to detail as our commercial projects. We offer our residential customers a free on-site consultation as well as design services from conceptual to engineered plan sets.
Shade sails are viewed as “Iconic” by many around the world. We design each sail we install to optimize the amount of shade provided in the most noninvasive manner possible.

Our conceptual design service is a great way to show you the custom shade design before we start construction. If you live in an HOA, this is also a great way to get approval for your project. Whether you are looking to shade your backyard, driveway, or even over a pool we will design a competitively priced commercially strong asset that’s perfect for you.
Our consultant will meet with you to review your needs, space, esthetic requirements and budget and within 5-10 business days, you will receive a design package with up to four design perspectives. This allows you to see what you are getting before we move forward. From there we can determine whether you would like to make adjustments or move forward with installation.
Installation of Residential shade
Our objective for every project is to ensure that the installation process is as seamless as possible for the customer.
We understand that a project progresses smoothly when the customer feels at ease. We will make sure you are confident you are in capable hands.
The shade sail installation process is simple and straightforward however complications may arise. Before starting any project, the customer selects their preferred shade sail options from those provided, afterwords we mark the column locations.
Once marked, we call for a blue stake to ensure we can excavate in the designated column locations, clearing us of any underground utilities.
To maintain progress, we commence excavation as soon as we get the “all clear” for utilities. Once the footing holes are dug, concrete will be ordered, and fabrication of the columns begin.
We will encase the base of columns in or install them on baseplates with anchor bolts integrated into footing. This method is determined by the heights and widths of the shade sails.
Now the installed columns are installed. We measure the shade sail connection points and get on sewing. We install all of our shade sails with integrated hardware and a cable perimeter.
Once the shade installed, we tension the cable perimeter to achieve an elegant appearance that can withstand the strongest Arizona winds.
